Consider Forming a Security ‘Community of Practice’

Security officials might want to check out the Department of Homeland Security’s First Responder Communities of Practice social network site.

The site is an online collaboration area for the emergency preparedness and response community.  It currently has communities for disaster response and first responder organizations, not for security as such. But from the nature of the site, it looks as though a security community would be welcomed.

Registered members of the site’s social networks (communities) share best practices and insights to prepare for future incidents.
