Site Security a Single-Minded Role

Site security personnel need to be steadfastly mindful of their challenges and responsibilities. Or else they might experience what’s been happening to homeland security – it’s becoming more like civil defense, says a Security Debrief post.

Site security is about preventing physical intrusion of unwanted visitors; that’s basically it. When the electricity goes out, it’s for some other department to fix. Site security needs to remain vigilant at the gates and around the perimeter, not get the electricity restored. One place, surely, where single-minded attention to duty is appropriate is site security.
