Apple Stressing Security At Its Planned New Headquarters

Apple states as one of its primary objectives for its planned new Cupertino, CA, campus: “Achieve the security and privacy required for the invention of new products by eliminating any public access through the site, and protecting the perimeters against trespassers.”

Yes, indeed, Apple says that security will be a top objective at its new “space ring” headquarters. But, true to insuring that aim, the Project Description for Apple Campus 2 doesn’t say much about how it will be achieved. The new 176-acre headquarters, aimed now for a 2016 start, will house 14,200 employees. The Los Angeles Times reports that guards are already monitoring the site.
