‘Einstein’ to Monitor Federal Computers Against Hacking
If the federal government can do this in the interest of computer security, so presumably can other large organizations. The feds, Information Week reports, are deploying Einstein 3, continuous monitoring and mitigation software, across their networks “to free up the time and brain power of human IT personnel to work on the most pressing and dangerous online threats.”
The entire federal government, including the military services, is deploying Einstein. “Once Einstein 3 is active across the government,” a spokesperson said, ” its automated monitoring, detection, and remediation systems will allow agencies to free up their IT personnel to focus on the most vital and pressing challenges.”
