A Weighty Book on a Weighty Subject: Security Planning

Security should be approached on a comprehensive basis; all the pieces need to be included. To that end, the Security Executive Council has published a book that appears to treat security as the multi-dimensional challenge it is.

The price – $72 – may seem a bit steep, but How to Develop and Implement a Security Master Plan appears to thoroughly cover the necessary ground. It ranges from conducting site assessments to the process for constructing and finalizing a security master plan. The author is Tim Giles who “worked at IBM for 31 years serving as Director of Security for the company’s operations in the United States and Canada, as well as Latin America and Asia-Pacific.”

Lengthy, comprehensive experience for a subject needing lengthy, comprehensive treatment.
