Well Worth Understanding: The Nature of Risks

It’s good to be as specific as possible when considering security precautions for a business or its related facilities – like the nature of risks it may be exposed to. In a post entitled “Risk is a river,” Philip J. Palin on Homeland Security Watch discusses risks under the headings of Natural Risk (rain, snow, etc.), Accidental Risk (like leaking methane gas in a Los Angeles suburb), and Intentional Risk (like that represented by the San Bernardino, CA, shooters).

Palin also provides a link to the testimony by FBI Director James B. Comey on the FBI’s priorities for the coming year, as well as the San Bernardino shootings.
