Banding Together to Be Safe on the Web


What it takes to be as safe as possible in computer security: ZDNet reports on how “Intel, IBM. Google, Microsoft, and others are joining a new security-focused industry group.”

“Some of the biggest names in the cloud and hardware ecosystem have agreed to join a new industry group focused on promoting safe computing practices.”

Yes, there can be strength in numbers, and especially in shared expertise. The new group has been named the Confidential Computing Consortium: “This industry group’s goals will be to come up with strategies and tools to accelerate the adoption of ‘confidential computing’.”

It’s a fairly complex process that’s recommended reading for anyone seeking to be, yes, as assuredly safe as possible on
the web.
