Aesthetics – at a Distance

IMS Research, a marketing research firm in Wellingborough, England, advises that building entrance controls are in a period of transition to “more aesthetically pleasing products”. “Alongside this trend,” IMS adds, “the increased threat of terrorist activity has pushed to the forefront a number of high rise building security issues.”

This brings to mind a point we make frequently – that building security doesn’t necessarily begin with entrance controls, however well they blend into a structure’s contours – but with perimeter access to the property itself. Here, too, a more compatible approach is possible, especially if one consdiers PRO Barrier’s Arrestor vehicle access barrier as an entry option. By means of a digital imaging process, the agile, but high-stopping-power Arrestor, can be finished to look like virtually any surface imaginable, blending security with serenity – well before anyone gets to a doorway.
