Staying Friendly in a ‘Culture of Concern’

The East Bay Business Times in Pleasanton, CA, reports on how companies in the San Francisco Bay Area are concerned about tightening security while still being accessible to their customers and the general public. Similar dilemmas are faced by employers nationwide in today’s “Culture of Concern”.

“Building owners and managers”, the East Bay paper notes, “have faced a ghastly dilemma over the past five years – how to protect their buildings in the face of terrorist attack or other tragedy but at the same time maintain an environment that is inviting for day-to-day business.”

Such pressures are recognized at PRO Barrier Engineering. They are, in fact, what gave rise to our Arrestor anti-terrorism vehicle access control barrier. The Arrestor is designed as a barrier that blends with its setting and can be kept up or down (without even a speed bump) as conditions require. Check in at for information on how the Arrestor can be finished to match any building surface.
