Study Up on Thuggish Extremism

When the British wanted to respond to threatened violence in India, Nick Catrantzos notes on Homeland Security Watch, they studied it and, in six years, wiped out the threat. It’s time, he suggests, for similar study of radical Islamic terrorism.

“We have little hope of winning a war,” Catrantzos notes, “if the only one who knows we are in mortal combat is the adversary but not the defender.” Unfortunately, he doesn’t provide reference leads, except to the historical Indian setting.
