A Security Advisory From the Animal Kingdom

Here’s a bit of light relief from our usual security postings, though the animals involved may not see it that way.

In July, the Advanced Perimeter Systems (APS) blog had a post, “Security Guards of The Animal Kingdom“. It reports how the elephants at the Blackpool Zoo in England are now protected by an APS Electro-Fence electric security fence.

All very well, but then the post goes on to advise how donkeys, swans and dolphins make good security guards in their own manner and settings.

We’re not advising you to fall back on animal guards, only noting that security seems to be instinctive for a host of creatures, if not all of us.
